A smartphone-connected thermal imaging system that identifies early tissue stress up to weeks before skin breakdown occurs.

What happens at the clinic, in the field, or at home?

A clinician captures a calibrated thermal image of the patient’s feet using a smartphone-connected thermal camera.
The scan is non-contact, non-invasive, and takes under 30 seconds during a routine visit.

Images are encrypted and uploaded directly into the PETRA analysis pipeline.

AI-based asymmetry analysis

PETRA automatically:
1) Segments the plantar foot surface
2) Aligns left and right feet
3) Compares contralateral temperature patterns

A temperature difference of ≥ 2.2 °C between mirrored regions is flagged as clinically significant, based on published diabetic foot risk thresholds.

PETRA’s model is designed to ignore background noise and focus only on biologically meaningful tissue changes.
